The power is by solar power and battery storage. The lighting uses the same power source. The 8th bed is a trundle bed in single bedroom.

The property is heated by an efficient wood-burning stove & supplemented by a gas heater. The bedrooms are unheated, though the mezzanine bedroom is directly over the wood burner.
