A contemporary beach home at Dooey beach, walkable from the shore.

Built 8 years ago, this smart contemporary beach home is at Dooey - celebrated as one of the best Blue Flag beaches in Ireland. We let it for a few months a year when the owner works away.

The 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom new home is inspired by timber Tasmanian beach homes, but this one is fully insulated beyond modern standards and very comfortable all year round with central heating and a fireplace. Walk down to the sandy shore (850 metres, 13 minutes) and explore one of the most beautiful coastlines in Europe.

Dooey beach is a 20-minute walk (exactly one mile by foot or vehicle on a quiet single-track road). The village (5 mins drive, 4km) has three bars (one serving good food, one that welcomes dogs), two shops and a petrol station open 7 days to 9pm.
