Traighenna Bay is a house of two halves - a traditional thatch Irish cottage to the front, and a modern wood extension to the rear where there are fine, open views over Traighenna Bay. It's a simple place, full of light, and comfortable year-round. The chief delight is the panoramic view over the bay and the fact that it's ideally placed for exploring the best of Donegal.

The simple 'modern rustic' cottage sleeps 4 in two good-sized bedrooms, good wifi, and huge views. It is one of our more basic cottages and therefore priced accordingly.

There's a huge dining table where you can eat or work. Within a 3.5km/ 5 min drive you can be at amazing sandy beaches (or walk - the lane is very quiet), good pubs (traditional music on Fridays) or the village shops. In less than 15 minutes you can be in town (Dungloe - the heart of the Rosses), in the Glenveagh National Park, in a real wilderness mountainside, or on a further choice of truly amazing beaches. The property is down a short drive.

Lots to do here - you can hire bikes from the village shop, or get surf and paddle-board lessons on the nearest beach (eg with Surf's Up Ireland).
