Famously restored by conservationist Griff Rhys Jones and family, and the subject of the BBC TV series 'A Pembrokeshire Farm', Ffermdy Trehilyn is a beautifully restored large Georgian farmhouse on the Pembrokeshire coast, in 70+ acres of its own land.

Great for get-togethers and special birthdays, this large detached house has gardens front and back, four receptions, and five bedrooms. Follow the trails around the estate to find the swing and slide for kids, explore the small woodland with cottage ruins, or head up over the hill past artist John Piper's house to the lighthouse and whale-watching station (2.5 miles). 9 minutes drive (3 miles) gets you to magical Abermawr beach.

The conservation of the house was informed by sustainability throughout, and you'll find EV chargers for electric vehicles on the parking area.

Fly fishing for rainbow trout in two ponds available on site. Catch & release, arrange with estate manager after booking.

Ffermdy Trehilyn can be booked as two separate cottages, Trehilyn Isaf and Trehilyn Uchaf, which may suit smaller groups better. When booked together, they link to form one large house. This listing is for the combined property.

Centrally-heated throughout via underfloor heating and virtually carbon-neutral heating. Free WIFI

This house is Trehilyn Isaf and Uchaf combined. When you book this, the entire farmhouse, we open an internal door between the kitchens to allow use and circulation as one large property.

Ground Floor:

Kitchen 1 - well equipped with excellent quality appliances (Bosch dishwasher, microwave etc). Access to rear gardens - one of four doors to the property (two front, two rear), so you are never far from the wonderful outside space and fields. Good views.
Cegin Fach 2 - small contemporary kitchen with Bosch dishwasher, microwave, oven etc.
Cegin Fawr - traditional dining room with antique furnishings
Parlour sitting room with open log fire, Small digital LCD TV & DVD.
Single bedroom 1: to ground floor, also doubles as study.
Small shower room and toilet to ground floor.
Bathroom and toilet to ground floor (no shower). Bath that fills fast. Like most rooms this enjoys views over open fields.
Small 'Utility' area with washing machine and dryer.

Upstairs:

Bedroom 2 - Spacious master bedroom with double bed and attractive coffered ceiling.
Bedroom 3 - Twin bedroom with Victorian grate.
Bedroom 4 (up steep stairs, gated at top), double bed (great mattress) etc with en-suite shower-room off (chrome heated towel rail etc). Large shower cubicle.
Bedroom 5 Croglofft twin bedroom (up steep stairs, gated at top, low headroom in parts) - best suited to kids, this has two good single beds, and overlooks the main lounge via balcony. Good quality mattresses.
Large family bathroom (converted from what was a double bedroom). Bath.
Small utility area with washing machine and dryer to first floor.

Outside:

Large rear garden
70 acres of farmland (keep dogs on lead around sheep). Nature walk (enclosed from livestock) along stream to far end of the farm and a ruined cottage.
Small 'honesty' shop for essentials
small shared playground area with swing and slide for young children (enjoyed at own risk)
2 x type 2 electric car chargers (shared among the 6 Trehilyn properties)

Note that there are steep open-tread stairs up to two of the bedrooms (gated at top).
